The PV of Valkyria Chronicles animu OP just released on the Japanese TVs. It’s 明日へのキズナ (Asu e no Kizuna) by HIMEKA. Some Japanese dude uploaded the PV on NicoNico Douga which eventually being uploaded again to YouTube. This is just a TV-rip PV where the single will only be released on 29th of May.
As you can see, the singer doesn’t even look Japanese. Because she’s Canadian lol. Catherine St. Onge, who came from Quebec to Japan just to broaden her singing career is able to speak in English, French and Japanese fluently (I guess). She loves to sing so much as well and trying her luck in Japan. Out of several singers, Catherine was selected to sing for Valkyria Chronicles animu opening theme. Eventually she chose HIMEKA as her name being a singer in Japan.
About the video above, it’s funny actually to see a Caucasian woman having her face make-up just like Asian. Unsuitable if you ask me. The PV is very Japan-ish in style. They should’ve tried making it to look like Western video clips because, just like them, Asians look funny too if they’re being inside such American style videos. The fabulous syndrom of Kagamin has now moves on to Akiyama Mio of K-On! It’s seem that people has always been some sort of creativity to make things being mesmerizing in this modern time of Internet. The conversion was done by someone else (not me) and it’s a little bit messed up just like what happened to my first upload of Kagamin to Youtube previously. Nevertheless, it’s cute.
I just want to share a video of Hiiragi Kagami from Lucky Star which I ripped from Nico Nico Douga. Apparently the original file was a flash file (SWF) sized about 600~kb. Having some sort of trouble on decompiling the file (since I am on Mac), I finally able to use a decompiler and then using Adobe Flash to export the FLA file to MOV. I made the animation looping for 5 minutes in Flash but after it turned to MOV, it’s freaking 156mb of filesize. Anyway, I uploaded the file for the first time at Youtube. But it seemed that the conversion at Youtube for MOV to FLV wasn’t good enough. I tried several software after that but suddenly I headdesk/facepalm/etc. Adobe Flash has another application called Adobe Flash CS3 Video Encoder which can convert videos from MOV to other formats. I didn’t see that because for Mac, the application was inside the Adobe folder unlike Windows style (Start > All Programs > Adobe > WIN!). Anyway, it’s mesmerizing.

I seldom put my preferences over Korean girls. As you can see above, their looks pretty much similar in which I say ‘template face’. In fact, their appearances also kinda ‘template body’ if you observe them in the video above. But, the song is very addictive, at least to me.
