On the Fast Lane with Tenshi

A good friend of mine said to me that he could help me create a custom Touch ‘n Go card for me. Well, several of my other friends would love to have their own TnG cards as well. So I designed some stuffs that can be applied on both side of the card. And [...]

Shah’s Vipper Challenge

The original image

Initially, I was at myclamyra’s house on Sunday where my band-mates and I were practicing for the upcoming audition for band performance this Saturday. Earlier that morning, it was supposed to be the so-called sports day for Anime Shrine (but no one was coming because it was raining *yaominglaughingsequence.jpg*). I got [...]

My First Dakimakura

... and another!

... and another!

Another stuff from my spending spree for this month… well, not really spending-spree-in-a-go as most of the stuffs were already being preordered months ago. This time, from Hobby Search and what’s more is that this is my first dakimakura. Stuff like this is not something cheap. Some of them are even more expensive than sculpted figurines depends on the quality (in this case, the maker). As much as I wanted a certain character to be my first dakimakura, it is not easy to get. For example, Nagato Yuki’s dakimakura has already long gone. There’s a new version of it being released but too expensive due to popularity. Someone put up a link that Hobby Search is selling Felli Loss dakimakura at 15% discount which was then I took the decision to get her as my first dakimakura…

Analyzing on what I have tweeted so far…

Flash is so yesterday

I started using Flash about 10 years ago. Had little knowledge about it back then since during my school years, Director was my main authoring tool. Well, they’re known as Macromedia products before. Similar to Director, Flash can used on webpages as long as the required plugins are installed on several browsers. Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator were the browsers that I used before and each of them had different plugin installers plus both Director and Flash had different plugins as well (If I am not mistaken, shockwave). I can’t recall much but, yeah, imagine today’s browsers to have different plugin installers for each of them and you need to restart your Windows each time installing them, heh. Of course that the current version of Adobe Flash Player is available for all internet browsers without such fuss.

Flag of Japan. Well, that if Flash conquered the country tho

The reason I bring this Flash matters up is actually because of the way Flash changed our Internet browsing habits. Flash has been used for designing our websites for more than a decade. It has then expanded to other platforms like smartphones. But whenever we wanted to browse a site that uses Flash, you’re required to install the Flash plugin to your system. Especially when suckers like us who wanted to watch YouTube videos on a new computer who will immediately download the installer just for that matter. That’s for computer users like Windows, Mac or Linux. Apple iPhone, Nokia Symbian and Windows Mobile users would have problem viewing webpages that have Flash files. Heck, Sony Playstation Interner browser and Nintendo Wii browser do have the same problem as well. Of course, certain tweaks can be done to make sure that Flash file works on those platforms.

Graphical Depiction of Otaku

I bought a Newtype magazine for March 2010 a couple of weeks ago. The 300th anniversary special of Newtype. Honestly speaking, I am not into Newtype magazine and the reason I bought it just because there’s the delicious pictures information about the upcoming delicious Nagato Yuki Suzumiya Haruhi movie. Basically, good stuffs *grins*

That bloody attracting Next H words does make my mind thinking something more 'attractive'

Of course, many other people have already talking about this movie stuffs but I am intrigued by the special edition of the 300th Anniversary Specials. Some sort of additional supplement booklet to the Newtype mag itself. It shows the history of Newtype from the first release until the current 300 Spartans. Even the main editor looks freakishly nerdy back in 1984 but somewhat normal looking guy for 2010. He looked really like a guy from Sparta with beards and stuffs but clean-shave in 2010. Though, the most interesting stuff to me is the graphical depiction of otaku for the year 1985 and then 1995 until the current otaku of the year 2010. Also there are other types of person that were never seen before this.

Imagine If

Maybe there will be some kind of meteor strikes.....

There were some kind of major catastrophe which eventually turning upside down almost everything. Buildings destroyed. Earth blasted upwards. Debris flying everywhere. People tried as hard as they can to save themselves. But many perished and the outcome is devastating. The great buildings of humanity were turned into rubbles. Things that once were 100 ft high above the ground might ended up 100 ft below. Perhaps a large area of valley might be became several hills. Imagine this as a world catastrophe which only a few of 6 billions of people survived. Technologies were lost although few might be still available. So people ‘restarted’ again. Cities were rebuilt albeit this might take decades or even centuries. Rather than pursuing technologies, people will ended up with survivability first. No big deal. That’s what people required. It’s essential. Tho, survivors are getting older and older until they’re dead. Less and less people remember what was the world like before the disaster. Things going on until people able to live rather peaceful and adequate provisions along with the growing population and the advancement of technologies. Professions became broaden like what we have currently. There might the reemergence of archeology which people start digging up the earth to find the past after 2000 years. There might be findings that these archeologists feel amazed. Imagine if they found a buried room where some bones were found which presumed to be a male and along side with him are a bunch of miniature idols or figurines made of plastics that representing female while there might be also some humanoid form of robots of unknown history…
