K-On! Live Event ~Let’s Go!~ was the concert that was held in Yokohama Arena at the end of last year in Japan. A concert dedicated to the fans of K-On! from seiyuu of the characters. Not really sure how many were there during the concert but it is said that the capacity of the arena is 17,000. It’s safe to say that the visitor counts are around that. While I wasn’t there in the concert but I just ordered the Blu-ray copy of it from Amazon Japan :3
I decided to buy this off from the site because it’s Blu-ray, man. Well, what kind of shitty excuse was that? lol. Anyway, this Blu-ray of K-On! has became the best selling music Blu-ray in Japan so far with 22,000 copies sold in a week. I wasn’t included as one of the fags that made the record breaking though because I ordered my copy a bit later. The record even surpassed the previous record of Namie Amuro Blu-ray selling; 14,000 in a week and 21,000 copies altogether from last September. Record doesn’t mean anything much but I can conclude from here that many otaku in Japan do have Blu-ray players such as PS3. An otaku might have a PS3 to play games as well unlike normalfag. So it is normal for anime stuffs to be popular in Blu-ray format.
While some people do prefer 2D more than 3D, I am quite on the 3D side I guess. But.. hmm.. I don’t know. Sometimes I do prefer 2D more in some occasions. Aki-chan is tall, slender, flat chest, fang and so-so look (just like others) but I do like her voice. Her voice for Yui is like chipmunk as some say. Generally speaking, her original voice is better in my opinion like her single here. Owait, the video there has been removed on Youtube. Try to find the song yourself if you wanna hear it. I am not sure if you guys actually turned-on after seeing that bra string of hers.
Hikasa Yoko, the voice of Akiyama Mio. She has a very matured voice. In current season of anime, she actually has three important roles in three different anime, Amakusa Shino (Seitokai Yakuindomo), Kumashiro Maya (Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin) and also Akiyama Mio (K-On!!). Uh, all related to school girls? lol. Anyway, for this concert she’s pretty amazing which I will elaborate more later in this post.
She’s somewhat childish just like Ritsu herself. A little bit information about Satomi is that she’s actually alone from different production house (Aoni Production) while Yoko and Ayana from I’m Enterprise production house while Aki and Minako from Music Ray’n (also both of them are from Sphere group together with Tomatsu Haruka and Takagaki Ayahi). I don’t really like her costume tho.
The youngest of them seiyuu for K-On! She’s 18 years old *grins* but pretty much very talented and look at that armpit <3 …. Oh fuck me and my fetish
Ayana voice is pretty loud. Pretty chubby and like Azunyan herself, she didn’t talk that much compared to other main casts. I find it funny when during the performance, she did act like Azunyan playing the Fender Mustang as rhythm guitarist.
She’s actually already there in anime industry for sometime. Remember Di Gi Charat (Dejiko) or Rozen Maiden (Jun)? She’s awesome.
The voice of Yui’s imouto, Madoka’s pretty calm and cute voice. Her appearances were pretty decent. Well, like Asami and Chika, they only sang one song each from their character song album.
She looks matured but guess what? K-On! is her first anime for her seiyuu career. Which is why she’s the one who cried so much at the end of the concert since this is her first concert for her one and only anime character so far.
While most of the songs these seiyuu actually just mime or posing with their instruments there were, however, two songs that they really played their own musical instruments for the fans. Watashi no Koi wa Hotchkiss and Fuwa Fuwa Time. Truth to be told, they never had any knowledge much musics apart from singing. From the concert, I could tell much that guitarists and bassist had hard time playing them.
It’s simplified but she’s getting better being a solo guitarist.
This is why she’s awesome. She doesn’t know how to play a bass well before and she’s right-handed. In this concert, she did it left handed like Mio.
Despite being the youngest, she’s very talented when playing a keyboard. I believe she took a piano class earlier by the look of how she played. Go girl!
During the performance, she gave much of her concentration with the guitar.
For beginners, being a drummer is not an easy task. Both Satomi and Minako played very well.
Also, singing while playing musical instruments is difficult as well. This is proven especially for beginners. Overall, while I like it much (and being biased), there are a few things that I don’t really fancy like that dialog scene in-between and some costumes that too fancy. With only 13+3 songs plus long conversations bla bla bla shits for a more than 2 hours concert. Nevertheless, a great collection of mine >:3
